The show that started it all for HBO. It ran from 1990 through 1997 and barely a trace of it exists on the internet today. I happened to find the full 7-season compilation on a torrent site and I’ve been bingeing the weekend away. Takes me back to childhood, and many of these episodes are quite good.

Appparently, M Night Shyamalongadingdong tried to get a reboot off the ground a few years back, but it was killed due to a rights dispute. Which is just as well, I’m not sure I trust him with the material.

What are your memories of this HBO classic?

Yes, I agree. These were good - a little over the top, but I enjoyed them.

Death Becomes Her originated as an episode of Tales From The Crypt. We really should be thankful for the series.

In fact, I offer the original trailer of the film with the Tales From The Crypt theme music.

And of course there’s Demon Knight with the very fuckable Billy Zane.

Rarely does a campy show actually have scary parts. This show had it. A staple of my staying up past bedtime to watch childhood.

Lucille Ball was great as the host.

I loved this show—especially one with Tony Goldwyn.

For Halloween I would wear a Crypt Keeper mask and sit outside in a chair looking like a prop. When the kids would arrive and ring the doorbell, I would come to life and scream/laugh like him. It scared the hell out everyone and it was a lot of fun.

It launched Kellyanne's career.

I remember an episode where Tim Curry played every character of a creepy hillbilly family.

Great show; it’s tragic that Max (or any channel) doesn’t show reruns.

For you, OP!

I loved it too, along with the original and 80s Twilight Zone.

Brad Pitt drove a hot rod in one of the episodes.
